Meet Sierra

Meet Sierra Gallup, our Creative Arts and Soccer Coordinator! Sierra grew up in Silverton, OR, and played soccer from five years old through college at Corban University. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she moved to Malin in 2014.

Although not originally from the area, she is immensely passionate about our small Basin communities and if you ask her, she will tell you right away–this is HOME. Since moving to the area, Sierra taught preschool in Klamath at Our Place to Grow and Head Start, and in 2020 assisted Amy Frey in bringing the first Relief Nursery program to Klamath county–A Family Gathering Place.

Creating has been another passion of hers since a young age, and she took any and every art or creative writing class available through high school and college–everything from pottery to large canvas paintings. In 2017, Sierra stumbled across a beginners leather tooling kit and about a year later, she started Jefferson State Leather Co.--her small business through which she now creates functional and wearable leather art out of her shop in Malin.

Needless to say, Sierra is SO excited to be a part of Tiny Mighty Strong, where she has the opportunity to utilize two of her strengths and passions to teach and inspire a new generation of artists and athletes–passing on the knowledge learned by the incredible coaches and teachers who inspired her when she was young.
